Common Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problems including missing bonus items, slow downloads and slow installation of the game.
The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare release started today, November 3rd with a full day of double XP, but for many users it is shaping up to be a few hours of Double XP due to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problems and late day deliveries from UPS and other delivery sources.
Here is a look at three common Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problems and how you can try to fix them. The exact processes will vary from one console to another, but they should work on PS4, Xbox One and the older systems as well.
One of the common problems with releases is missing bonus codes from pre-order items. Instead of simply including the gear in the game Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare offers a special Advanced Arsenal and guns that only come with a pre-order code. We’re also hearing about installation stopping before 100% and very long download times for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the Xbox One and PS4.
Hopefully these fixes for common Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problems will help you get playing soon.
Missing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bonus Items
If you are missing your Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Advanced Arsenal and other pre-order bonus items you can try these fixes. First off, if you pre-ordered through a retailer like Best Buy or GameStop you need to find the email or receipt that includes the codes. You must enter the codes to unlock the bonus items. If the codes are missing you will need to contact the retailer who sold you the game. You can try Twitter, but you may have better luck picking up the phone.

If you ordered a digital Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare release, the pre-order items should be part of a bundle and should have installed with the game. Unfortunately sometimes things go wrong and you need to re-download the bonus content manually on the Xbox One or reset licenses on the PS4.
On PS4 go to Settings -> PSN -> Restore Licenses and then it should show up as DLC. You may need to restart the PS4 and do this a second time if you don’t see your Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare bonus items. The fix worked for Destiny bonus items.
On the Xbox One you need to go to the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare game tile and press the button on the controller with three lines. Choose Manage Game, move to the right and you should see download bonus items that you need to download. Tell them to download, restart the Xbox One and you should have your bonus items.
Slow Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Downloads
Some users are seeing very long Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare download times, which is not surprising given the demand to download the game and the fact that it is a very large download. If you are experiencing slow downloads and you have a fast connection you can try restarting your Xbox One or PS4.
We also hear users suggest setting the DNS on the Xbox One in Network Settings to 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11 – the Google Public DNS servers and restarting the Xbox One to speed things up. Go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual and set primary as 18.104.22.168 and secondary as 22.214.171.124
Pre-Load Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Problems
If you are running into Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problems in the game. Things not working right, random error messages or the inability to play at all you may need to delete and re-download the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare digital downloads.
Microsoft no longer mentions this Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problem, but earlier today this was a problem on Xbox One. Microsoft lists some issues with Xbox Live trials on the Xbox Support status. Sony still lists deleting pre-load content and re-downloading from your library as the solution for general Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problems.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Installation Problems
Another frustrating Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problem is installation getting stuck or taking a very long time.
Doesn't look like I'll be playing @callofduty tonight. Digital copy install stuck at 27% RAD.

This may also happen when the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer update will not install.

Unfortunately, like with the pre-load problems, you may need to uninstall the game from your system and restart the installation from disk or digitally.
These problems come after GameStop Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare release problems prevented codes from arriving for many gamers last night.
