HP is running the “Better Together” back to shcool promo with Notebooks.com and 24 other sites. Twenty-five readers will win bundles consisting of an HP Mini 110 XP Edition netbook, HP Pavilion dv6 and a Timbuk2 backpack.
If you’d like to win one of these bundles, or know a student that could really use one, head over to this page for a list of the participating sites and the dates of their giveaways.
HP sent me a set of the gear for long term review and it really made me wonder how much easier college life would’ve been with a setup like this.
The Mini 110 included in the giveaway comes with 1GB of RAM, 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 160GB hard drive, 10.1″ display and six-cell battery. One of the best things about this little guy is that its display is antiglare.
The Pavilion dv6 is of course less portable than the netbook, but it has some very respectable specs. It comes with a 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive. Blu-ray Disc drive. This configuration also comes with ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 graphics, which makes playing video games a very smooth experience.
