Home Deals Deal: $496 Off the Dell Latitude E6520 w/ Core i5, 3 Yr Warranty

Deal: $496 Off the Dell Latitude E6520 w/ Core i5, 3 Yr Warranty

The Dell Latitude E6520 is a new member of the Dell Latitude E Family, and brings MIL SPEC durability to your home or office at about $500 off retail.

This notebook is designed to deliver the power and the durability your small business needs to keep up, and it’s also designed quite well. When we reviewed the E6520, the build quality was one of the most striking features, but given the limited amount of RAM on this deal, you’ll also love the quick access door to perform system upgrades.

We pick this deal as a potential back to school laptop for first year students because it includes 3 years of next business day on site repair, and business notebooks can realistically last longer and handle hazardous environments like college better than plastic consumer models.

The Dell Latitude E6520 has the following specs;

  • 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 2nd Gen processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 250GB hard drive
  • 6 cell battery
  • 15.6″ Anti Glare display with 1366×768 resolution
  • 8X DVD RW drive
  • Backlit keyboard
  • Wifi and Bluetooth

The extra features are a nice touch, but you will want to look for a cheap aftermarket RAM upgrade and because this is a fast ship system, that will arrive on the next business day at no extra charge, you can’t add a webcam. Even with these limitations, the deal offers a good value for businesses and students in need of a solidly built machine.

    For $1 more you can get the xps15z which is waaaay more computer!! And for $100 more you can add a 1080p screen. Just got mine yesterday, and love it so far. 2nd gen i5, 6g ram, 750g (7200) hd,  8 cell battery etc… no comparison in my opinion.
