Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 Takes on YOGA

At CES 2105 Dell announced a new Dell Inspiron 13 7000 notebook and tablet in one that is designed to take on the Lenovo Yoga and other 2-in-1 notebooks that flooded the market over the last year. Dell also announced the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 that includes a Real Sense 3D camera and a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 notebook with a 4K display to round out the 2015 Inspiron lineup.

The new Dell Inspiron 13 7000 is part of the Only @ Best Buy lineup with a premium placed on the design and in this case a 2-in-1 form factor.

Dell’s Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 convertible features a backlit keyboard, metal palmrest and curved edges to help the device perform as a notebook and a tablet equally well. There are two big hinges that allow for a smooth transition to tablet mode from the notebook form.

The big news for the Inspiron 13 7000 is that it delivers double duty with a premium placed on design and it is only available at Best Buy. The Inspiron 13 7000 arrives in March at Best Buy locations and on Dell, and it should retail around $850 for the entry-level option.

Also on display was the Inspiron 15 5000 and Inspiron 15 7000 notebooks that add on a bigger 15-inch display and a variety of other features. The Inspiron 15 5000 includes an Intel RealSense 3D camera that can detect depth to allow for gaming and other tasks like replacing the background or more natural interaction with your computer. The Inspiron 15 5000 features the new 5th Generation Intel processor and offers close to 8 hours of battery life according to Dell.

The Inspiron 15 7000 features a 4K Touch display option that combines the super-high resolution with the convenience of touch for controlling Windows 8.

The Inspiron 15 5000 with Intel RealSense 3D camera starts at $749 and is available starting today on Dell. The Inspiron 15 7000 is available today starting at $1,099.
