Steve Seto, Tablet PC MVP and GBM Forum member, just received a Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC and has these unboxing pictures and commentary. I’m sure Steve will be posting more in our Dell forum. It’s great to see Dell shipping these units so quickly. I just wish we could get our review eval unit….Until then, we’ll live vicariously through Steve.

From Steve:
I ordered my XT last Monday. U7600 (1.2GHz) Core 2 Duo with the high-brightness DLV screen, 2 GB of RAM (only wanted 1, but Dell’s automated order system wouldn’t allow it), 32GB SSD, 802.11 Draft n WiFi and BlueTooth 2.0. Vista Ultimate and OneNote with all the media. The XT was delivered this evening, about one week ahead of schedule…
So far, it’s really nice to have a contemporary machine again. Very fast. Windows Experience is 3.5, but hard drive is 4.5 and Graphics is 4.1.
It’s heavier and thicker than I would like. The screen is amazingly bright!
The N-trig screen will take a little getting used to, but I’ve tried both touch and pen; the lack of need for touch pressure is very, very nice.
