Destiny The Taken King Collector's Editions cause a big stir in the Destiny community recently thanks to the pricing and access to specific items that would have forced players to essentially pay for Destiny again if they wanted all the new items.

Luke Smith, Creative Director on Destiny: The Taken King further complicated matters with an interview in Eurogamer that frustrated many of the biggest Destiny fans. This week Smith took to the Bungie Weekly Update with a special early edition to explain what current owners can do to get all the goodies in The Taken King.

With the new changes, current owners can get all the digital content from the Collector' Edition for $20 as an upgrade bundle on September 15th.In addition to this content, Bungie also confirmed that more details are coming and there is a reward for existing players.

Gamers who reach Light Level 30 or who purchased Expansion I and Expansion II by August 31st get an, "exclusive commemorative Founder’s Fortune Year 1 Emblem, Sparrow, Armor Shader and more at launch with your purchase of The Taken King."
