DigiTimes: Intel Readying Next Generation of Atom Chipsets

Published

on

Just when you thought things were getting boring in the great Netbook (or whatever we are going to call them) race, comes a report from DigiTimes that Asus, GigaByte, and Acer are getting ready to unveil Netbooks with a new Atom processor from Intel. The N280 chip will replace the current N270 and also be running a newer graphics chipset the GN40. Apparently we’re looking at seeing products with the new chip in place somewhere between the end of Q2 and the beginning of Q3.

Apparently this was available to be gandered at during CES 2009 but we must have missed it. Maybe it was those booth babes distracting us.
