Awhile back I blogged about the pinky out test when it comes to multi-touch devices. In case you’re too lazy to follow the link, essentially the passing pinky out test means that when you’re sitting at a restaurant eating some greasy food you can extend your pinky and scroll up and down the screen effortlessly.
Now that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is starting to ship in the US, and has been doing so elsewhere on the planet, it has been declared, whether fairly or not, the first big iPad competitor. Intriguingly US press and bloggers were not so kind as those on other shores. That said, I’m generally seeing good things about the multi-touch experience though. Since I’m not anticipating picking up one of these devices, I’m curious as to whether or not the multi-touch screen passes the pinky out test.
So, I’d love to see some reports on this from some of the tech bloggers around the globe who have their hands (and fingers) on a Galaxy Tab. Does it pass the pinky out test. So, jkkmobile, Steve “Chippy” Paine, Chris Davies, and any others, extend those pinkies and let us know. You get to pick the food.
