eBay Cyber Monday 2014 Deal has Surface Pro 3 for $699

Shoppers who’ve waited until now to purchase Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 2-in-1 can save big if they take advantage of eBay’s slate of Cyber Monday 2014 deals. The online retailer will take $100 off the Surface Pro 3 beginning Monday.

eBay, one of the world’s most popular auction sites revealed some of its Cyber Monday 2014 deals at the same time as it began publicly showcasing the deals it hopes uses will take advantage of on Black Friday and Thanksgiving Day. eBay will offer the Surface Pro 3 with Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage for just $699. Normally, that same Surface Pro 3 would cost $799 without any special discounts or savings.

The Surface Pro 3 with an Intel Core i3 processor is the cheapest Surface Pro 3 Microsoft offers. It went on sale about a month after the $999 Surface Pro 3 with Intel Core i5 processor and 128GB of storage did. Aside from a processing power boost and more storage, each version of the Surface Pro 3 is the same. Screen sizes, button placement and extras remain the same no matter which Surface Pro 3 a user purchases.

The eBay Cyber Monday 2014 sale on the Surface Pro 3 will start at 9 PM Pacific Standard Time on November 30th. eBay doesn’t note how long the deal will last, but does say that all sales are “While supplies last.” In short, users who want to take advantage of this Surface Pro 3 sale should plan to stay up late if they’re on the East Coast of the United States. That being said, waiting for eBay’s slate of Cyber Monday 2014 deals is smarter than shopping at a physical store after the holiday. There are no lines, no tickets to wait for before being allowed to shop, and no chance that you may be trampled by someone else trying to take advantage of the same deal.  All of these are expected to be problems for Black Friday 2014 deals at retailers nationwide.

Microsoft gave the public their first look at the Surface Pro 3 mid-summer and began selling them a month later. The Surface Pro 3 is considered by most to be the best 2-in-1 on the market. It has a spacious 12-inch high-definition touchscreen, a single USB port, a microSD card slot for storage expansion and a wireless pen that allows users to take notes by just pushing a button. Unlike the original Surface or the Surface 2, the Surface Pro 3 allows for users to install desktop applications alongside those from the new Windows Store. A kickstand allows for easy positioning and a special keyboard cover gives users something akin to a laptop experience without having to carry around a separate external keyboard. To be clear, users will need to purchase that Surface Pro 3 keyboard separately. eBay isn’t running a sale on those. Surface Pro 3 Type Covers cost $129.

eBay’s Cyber Monday 2014 deals only include the Surface Pro 3 with Intel Core i3 processor. Users who are looking for more storage or more power will need to keep an eye on Microsoft’s own Black Friday 2014 deals. The Microsoft Store website plans to slash the price of the rest of the Surface Pro 3 line by as much as $150 depending on model. That sale begins tomorrow, November 27th and also runs while supplies last. The Surface 2, Microsoft’s direct iPad competitor is going on sale tomorrow for $299 at the Microsoft Store website. None of Microsoft’s Surface deals include a Surface Covers.
