Kobo Mini

The Kobo Mini is another small and portable eReader that could make a great gift this holiday season. While the name isn't as recognizable as Nook or Kindle, Kobo is well-known in the eBook industry.

The Kobo mini features a 5-inch eInk display that is offers touch screen controls for turning pages and selecting words.

Kobo offers access to nearly 1 million free eBooks and a library of 3 million books total, which is in line with Amazon's offering. The Kobo Mini also supports ePub and Adobe DRM for eBooks.

The Kobo Mini connects via WiFi and can hold over 1,000 ebooks on the included 2GB of memory. With WiFI turned off the battery lasts up to one month.

The eInk screen and small size make it great for reading outdoors, but again, it's worth picking up a light for late night readers.

I’m hoping the kindle is one of the best gifts :) because I got my mom, sister and brother-in-law a kindle fire from amazon and ereader cases from solo.net.
