Don't Forget Where You Put Your Power Armor

If you get out of your Power Armor, it will stay right where you left it. Which is great, if you only have one set of Power Armor.

If you have more than one, the Pip Boy will only show the last one that you used. So, if your memory is horrible, you could wind up losing a power piece of armor for much of the game. And you definitely don't want to do that. 

I take notes with locations on my phone but you might have another way that works better for you.
