Fallout 4 Patch 1.3: 5 Reasons We’re Excited
General Memory and Stability Improvements

I know a lot of people hate when companies generalize like this but I think the 1.3 patch's "general memory and stability improvements" are exciting. I, like many others, have run into frame rate issues in various locations. Frame rate issues are particularly bad on the the Xbox One. I've also experienced numerous game crashes where I've been dashboarded out of the game. It's annoying and it breaks the experience. While 1.3 probably won't eliminate frame rate problems and crashes/freezes completely, it should help cut down on the number of problems. Fallout 4 is more stable than it was at launch but it still has a long way to go. 1.3 should help. The next patch should help to stabilize the game for many users but we expect problems to linger, particularly for those with older PC hardware. If you're running into crashes right now and/or you're concerned about the future after 1.3 arrives, take a look at Bethesda's fixes and some of our own fixes for Fallout 4 crashes and freezes.
