The FIFA 15 release is in less than a week and if you want the best experience you’ll want to make sure you buy the game on the right console.
You can buy FIFA 15 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, but there are a number of reasons you shouldn’t buy it on the older PS3 and Xbox 360.
The difference between features in FIFA 15 for Xbox One and PS4 and FIFA 15 for Xbox 360 and PS3 aren’t as dramatic as we saw with Madden 15 and NHL 15, but there are plenty of reasons to upgrade to a new console before buying FIFA 15 and other games this fall.
So far there is no news of any free upgrades to the next generation, like Bungie offered for Destiny, but perhaps we’ll see something during the holiday hopping season.
If you plan on buying a PS4 or Xbox One this year, now is a great time to do it, unless you are planning to play this fall’s hottest games on an older console. The games aren’t any more expensive than on older consoles, but you certainly won’t get as much for trading them in.

Although FIFA 15 on Xbox One and PS4 share many features with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions there are some areas where developers focused more time on the new consoles which offer more power that delivers more than just better looking graphics.
Better Looking Players & Graphics
If you wan the best looking soccer game, go for the FIFA 15 PS4 and Xbox One version. The new consoles offer enhanced graphics that deliver better looking players, stadiums and environments.
FIFA 14 on the Xbox One and PS4 looked very similar to the older consoles, but this year gamers can expect a visual upgrade to player faces, models and in-game action.
EA upgrades the Goalkeepers for FIFA 15 on PS4 and Xbox One. There are over 50 animations for saves, better AI and new player models.
In short your goalkeeper is vastly improved, making better decisions about when to attack and when to settle in for a save.
This also delivers new ways for you to score on offense. Count on shots across the goal, nutmegs and realistic deflections that set another player up for a follow-up or a bounce into the goal.
Soccer is an emotional sport and with FIFA 15 on PS4 and Xbox One players show more emotion during the match. This includes over 600 emotional reactions to big moments and to critical scores and important mistakes.
EA claims this new feature delivers a more realistic experience as all 22 players will respond to missed tackles, goals and failed attempts.
This includes feelings and attitudes for every player to every player on the match and new 10 player celebrations.
Better Commentary & Presentation
With Dynamic Match Presentation you’ll see better looking fans, commentators that match up to what’s happening on the pitch and in the stands.
You’ll hear fans chant team songs, celebrate with more intensity and you’ll even see subs on the bench jump up to celebrate a big goal.
In FIFA 15 PS4 and Xbox One games you’ll see a living pitch that includes more realism. Starting with ads on the edge of the stadium and moving to corner flags that move when hit with the ball the field is more alive than ever. The goal frame is also no longer a sturdy non-moving object, shaking when struck by a fast shot.
The field also shows wear over the match with debris, footprints and marks from slide tackles. These are small parts of the game, but combined there are a number of reasons to make sure you get FIFA 15 on PS4, Xbox One or PC.
