Two big additions to the Galaxy S7 lineup this year also made their way to the Galaxy Note 7. Those being IP68 certified dust and water resistance, and a micro-SD slot for storage expansion.
The Galaxy Note 5 had none of those, and the small battery and 32GB of storage simply wasn't enough for most. This year that won't be an issue, as we'll be able to throw in a huge 128 or 200GB micro-SD card. The S7 Edge has this too, so either one will work for buyers. There is one important aspect here. The Galaxy S7 Edge has 32GB of internal storage, then a micro-SD slot to expand storage. The Galaxy Note 7 has 64GB of storage built-in, so double, and accepts SD cards too. Either way you can add an SD card to get extra storage, so this isn't a huge concern.
