GBM InkShow: The Lenovo X301 Notebook Accessories
I’ve already told you how impressed I am with the Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Notebook. In fact if I didn’t need a Tablet PC, I’d seriously think about making one of these babies my main machine. It is light, it is thin, it performs like a dream, and I really enjoy working with it.
As a part of this evaluation, Lenovo also sent along a couple of accessories for me to check out. A USB to VGA dock and an optional battery that fits in the same slot as the optical drive. In this InkShow I check them both out and actually remove the optical drive (very, very thin) and install the battery. I’ve yet to run the system full tilt boogie with the optional battery installed, but it does boost the reported 2 hours of battery life with the 3 cell battery that came with the machine substantially to around 5 hours. At least that’s what I’m seeing reported here. Both reports are running Lenovo’s Balanced profile.
