Google Dashboard Gives You A Window Into What Google Knows About You

Google has released Google Dashboard, a one stop look at what information Google has about you in the various Google apps you may use. Maybe I should say, what data you let Google have, because in essence that’s the real story. At the moment it gives you a look at what you’re doing in 20 apps from GMail and Google Reader to Picassa and Google Voice. Google is trumpeting this as a move towards greater transparency, and depending on the app you are looking at you have different controls that allow you to manage various aspects of your data in those apps all from one location. It certainly is interesting to see all of this is one place.

Hmm, nifty! I know some Google users that will love this. Of course, I’d like it more if I could use it to see what they have stored about me OUTSIDE of my Google accounts… GoodThings2Life just doesn’t hit it all, lol.
