Google Latitude Now Available for the iPhone as Web App
Kevin Tofel of jkOnTheRun and I have been checking each other out from afar (hey, that’s in your mind, not mine) using Google Latitude on our respective iPhones that was just released today. Kevin is outside Philadelphia and I’m in northwestern Virginia.
You read the headline right, Google Latitude is a web app. Apparently, Apple didn’t want Google to create a native app so as to minimize confusion with the Google Map app already on the iPhone so a web app is all we get here at the moment. Somehow that just makes me more confused.
In any regard, Google Latitude will let you check out the location of your friends, provided you’re running it in Safari. The core functionality is all there.

This sounds like apple is earning quite a lot by only hosting and selling applications. I remember spending a lot of money on iTunes, just recently i spent around 5 USD on iWound for iphone.
