Mn_adams2845What’s a Neophiliac? Well you might be. Neophilacs, according to new research from Japan’s Yamagata University School of Medicine, you may be genetically wired (wireless?) to wanting the newest things. It has something to do with a mitochondrial enzyme called monoamine oxidase A. If you produce high quantities of that enzyme you have a predispostion to gadget addiction. (Wonder if insurance companies will start covering treatement?) So, now when your significant other starts rattling your cage about your seemingly out of control gadget lust, you can pin it on too much monoamine oxidase A.

And here we though we were just geeks.
