The Zagg Origin is a two-in-one speaker system, unlike its competition. The main speaker sits on the outside of the device, but on the inside there is a smaller removable speaker. This works great for taking the speaker system throughout the house. The Zagg Origin has a 10 hour battery life, so listening to music won't always require a wall socket. Also, when using the removable speaker, the audio will automatically transfer to it whenever the smaller unit is removed. I can’t believe the Jabra Solemate didn’t make the list. It easily beats most of those speakers in sound quality and durability.

I agree with you about the Jabra Solemate, it’s also got about 8 hours of battery life which is above average. Bit of a hefty weight at 2 and a half pounds, but its built solidly.

Other than the Belkin iPad case/speakers, these Bluetooth speakers should work with any Bluetooth enabled device not just the iPad as the title seems to imply.
