Update: GTA Online Release Time Pegged for Early Morning

Gamers can earn a fortune by playing the GTA 5 stock market and it is an integral part of the game for missions where a player must take out a target, which in turn influences the stock market. Without adding any spoilers, gamers should listen for investing tips in missions, on the radio and while helping characters.

The GTA 5 stock market, made up of BAWSQ and Liberty City National, moves on its own as well. This leaves open an opportunity to make money investing in companies in the GTA 5 universe.

BAWSAQ is linked to the Rockstar Social Club, which means the actions of players in a single player mode affect the BAWSAQ stock prices as a whole for other gamers on the Xbox 360 and PS3, and it looks like this will also play a major role in the GTA Online world.

Gamers can make a lot of money on the GTA 5 stock market, including a pump and dump scheme that is in the midst of playing out.

Because the BAWSAQ GTA 5 stock market is connected to the online world, a group of players are already conspiring to push the price of one stock up for a timed sell off.

Right now a group of gamers on Reddit are buying up Pißwasser (PIS) which is already up 50% since yesterday, and up 400% since Friday.

The stock is still a long way from the high of $148, but early investors stand to make a dramatic profit from the coordinated GTA 5 stock market pump and dump, especially those who got in early.

According to multiple threads on Reddit, gamers can still get in for a chance to make a lot of money from the Pißwasser (PIS) stock in GTA 5.

The sell off takes place tonight at 10 PM GMT with a sell range between then and 12:00 GMT. Gamers who sell within this time period stand the best chance to make the biggest profit. The sell off time is converted to the following local time zones;

  • Eastern – 6-8 PM
  • Central – 5-7 PM
  • Mountain – 4-6 PM
  • Pacific – 3-5 PM

This is one of the first coordinated efforts so it’s not exactly clear how this will play out, but the GTA 5 Stock market subreddit will likely adjust and fine tune the process. Buy and sell times are already on the calendar for stocks to be determined on Saturday and Sunday.

Right now gamers can check the value of stocks on BAWSAQ online in the Rockstar Social Club, but can only buy in-game. open a player’s phone and go to Browser. From there, pick the money tab in the middle of the screen and click on the stock you want to buy. Gamers can hold down the “A” button over the plus sign to buy stocks faster.

Gamers can use their stock market profits to buy real estate and vehicles in GTA 5, including the delivery of tanks and planes which would otherwise require a speedy trip to the military base and a lot of luck.

    Thanks for the article Josh, I started the pump and dump, but I understand that reddit made it huge.

    I wish someone would do an update to the BAWSAQ stock market and stop regurgitating the same stuff about the goofy Missions that affect the BAWSAQ we need a article for seasoned players. Like I made lots of money from Sprunk Stocks but recently its been going down and WIWANG is going up fast. SO is this still being buy and dumped because the stock market makes no logical sense to me. and whats up with the BRUTE stock its always a flat line no movement
