How to Get Google Hangouts and Google Music All Access Now



Google announced Google Music All Access today at Google I/O 2013, two new apps that deliver new experiences and services on Android and the iPhone.

Unlike an Android 4.3 update, which would require a long wait, Google is pushing out these new features today. While Google Play Music All Access is only available on Android, Google Hangouts is available on Android and on iPhone.

Users can download the apps right now, and Google Play Music users can simply update their app for access to the subscription service. There are no restrictions to users who are at Google I/O. These apps and services are open to the public today.

Google Play Music All Access is a music subscription service that is only available on Android. The new app is available on nearly all Android devices, with support all the way back to Android 2.1.

Download the new Google Play Music App and sign up for All Access before June 30th to get a cheaper subscription price. Google Play Music will retail for $9.99 a month, but users who sign up early can keep a $7.99 a month subscription price.

The Google Play Music service offers playlists, single track listening and access to most popular music labels on par with Spotify. The service also delivers a radio feature to create playlists based on an artist and recommends music based on a users’ preferences.

Hopefully the service will come to the iPhone and iPad soon as many Android users also own an iPad.

Google announced 41 new Google+ features, including a new Google Hangouts app that lets users talk to multiple users at once across a collection of devices, and unlike music it works on the iPhone and nearly all Android devices.

With the Google Hangouts app, users can chat and video chat with multiple users at once and notifications are synced across devices.  The service will keep the text and photos saved across all apps so users can always go back and look at what was said.

    The streaming train has come and gone, and as long as record labels have the upper hand the model will never be sustainable in the long run. With services like SoundCloud and apps like music sharing and discovery will take on a whole new meaning. This will turn out to be another WAVE.
