Valentine’s Day is here, and if you waited until the last minute to get your special someone a gift for the holiday, there’s still some time left, especially when you have the ease and convenience of ordering roses, chocolates and other gifts right on your iPhone.
While Valentine’s Day is mostly geared towards couples, it can also be a great time of the year to show anyone how much you care about them, whether it’s your significant other, a best friend, or even your mother, you can show them your own love with a little gift on Valentine’s Day by gifting them some flowers, chocolates, or other kind of edible treat.
However, if you forgot that the holiday is right around the corner, you may think it’s too late to go shopping for a special gift, but luckily, that’s not the case, especially if you enjoy shopping on your iPhone.
There are a handful of apps that allow you to buy and deliver Valentine’s Day gifts to a special someone right from your iPhone, and here are some that could prove helpful for you as you go searching for the perfect last-minute Valentine’s Day gift.
The ProFlowers iPhone app is very visual, making it a good choice to view flower arrangements and pick that you like the best.
When you buy through ProFlowers, arrangements can be included with chocolates or a teddy bear for that extra touch, and when it comes time to check out, you can custom-make the note card that comes along with the flowers.
However, be aware that ProFlowers will try to automatically tack on a glass vase, which costs extra, so you’ll have to make sure to uncheck it when you go to check out, but other than, the app is a decent option, and they even offer next-day delivery, so get to ordering!
A big name in the flower industry is 1-800-Flowers, and its iPhone app makes it really easy to order arrangements and even have them deliver the same day in some cases.
Not only do they have Valentine’s Day options, but they also offer different arrangements catered toward different events, like birthdays, weddings, graduations, and even options for sorrowful times like a death in the family or if someone has fallen ill.
You can purchase flowers right on the app, and there’s even support for Google Checkout to make the purchase process even quicker.
Another app that relies heavily on photos is Florist Now, and it provides users will large detailed images of flower arrangements that you can scroll and swipe through.
However, the app just doesn’t have flowers available, but a ton of other stuff to choose from, like balloons, baskets, floor plants, and centerpieces, making it a great app to use for all sorts of gifts.
Florist Now also offers same-day delivery if the order is placed before 1pm local time, and the app even offers the ability to notify you when an important holiday is coming up, like Valentine’s Day!
Would that special someone prefer edible treats instead of flowers? Then an app called Shari’s Berries is worth taking a look at it. Everything can be done right in the app, including picking out an arrangement and ordering it to be delivered to your recipient’s house.
Everything is hand-made and is made to order to ensure that it’s fresh when your recipient receives it. Chocolate-covered strawberries are their specialty, but they also offer other goodies like caramel apples.
If you’d rather shop locally and hand-pick flowers or chocolates, Yelp can be a great app to find local florists and other stores that offer custom options.
Of course, if you want to just pick up a basic arrangement, most grocery stores offer that kind of stuff, but if you’re looking for a dedicated florist, Yelp allows you to search for them in your area and view ratings for each to pick the best one.
Everyone loves Amazon, and it’s really easy to see why. You can buy pretty much anything on Amazon and have it shipped to the very next day for just a couple of dollars if you have Amazon Prime.
While you won’t be able to get custom arrangements, you can buy flowers and chocolates on Amazon thanks to its large selection of items, and if you order earlier in the day, you can get next-day shipping for just a couple of dollars more with Prime.
