How to Watch the 2013 OSCARS on the iPhone and iPad

The 2013 OSCARS will be held on Sunday at 7PM Eastern and those who cannot tune in on their televisions can see all of the action on the OSCARS mobile app from their iPhone or iPad. This year’s OSCARS will be the 85th occurrence of the event and the host will be Seth MacFarlane.

Some of the films that are up for Best Picture this year are Argo, Lincoln, Django Unchained, and Les Misérables. While the app allows you to watch the event live, it also is great for extra content while watching the event live on TV. Some of the features of the app are picking who you think will win the categories, watching behind the scenes interviews, and reading news about the event.

Another cool feature of the app is the My Picks section. This part of the app allows users to choose who they think will win certain categories and share it with their Facebook friends.

Pick Winners

One of the most important section of the app is the Video tab. There are already some behind the scenes videos to watch and during the event there will be more video uploaded. Users can also live stream the OSCARS, but unlike many official event apps ABC made this as a companion app.

Users can see backstage and other feeds, but it looks like the main announcements will be limited to the TV feed. Winners will appear on backstage cameras, to deliver more on what the win means to them. Users can also pick the cameras they want to see in Director mode.
