HP 2710p Tablet PC vs Fujitsu T2010 Tablet PC
It seems that the HP 2710p Tablet PC and the Fujitsu T2010 Tablet PC are quite the competitive pair when stacked up next to each other, so I thought it would a good idea to do a spec by spec comparison of the two devices. I’ve also received a few emails from readers requesting the comparsion, so after several hours of work, here it goes.
Bear in mind, there are four or five different sku’s among each model, with the ability to customize / upgrade / etc, that make it difficult to do an exact comparison. I’ll try to notate where one offers other features in differing models. Hopefully, this might help folks in determining which tablet pc to purchase.
For my base model comparison, I’m looking at the RM272UT sku of the 2710p ($1749) and the A1T0J10304A30001 sku of the T2010 ( $1799 ).

Battery
6-cell ( 44 WHr, rated for 3 – 5 hours ), 6-cell Ultra slim battery also available ( 46 Whr, rated for 3 – 5 hours ). Both batteries can be used together to get 9 – 10 hours. Ultra-slim battery can be charged in docking station without the need of the tablet. Ultra-slim battery attaches to bottom of 2710p, causing it to be a little thicker.
See weights below.
6-cell (62.6 WHr), 9-cell ( 93.9 Whr, rated for 11 hours) battery also available. The best I can tell, either the 6-cell or the 9-cell can be used. 9-cell battery extends out front of the T2010 causing it to be a little wider. See weights below.
Weight
3.7 lb (1.68 kg). Ultra-slim battery weighs 1.24 lbs for total of 4.94 lbs for 6 – 10 hours with two batteries combined. 2710p is roughly 1 lb heavier with comparable or slightly less battery life. I’m getting about 9 hours on HP optimized setting.
3.52 lbs with 6-cell battery, additional .32 lbs with 9-cell battery for a total of 3.84 lbs with the 9 cell battery, rated 11 hours. I have not read of any real-world experience of that 11 hour battery, yet. Fujitsu is 1 lb lighter with comparable battery performance, though.
