HP TouchPad at Amazon.com…Almost Ready to Go on Sale?
Amazon.com has posted a product page for the HP TouchPad. The page is pretty sparse at the moment, just listing specs and asking if you’d like to receive alerts when the device is actually for sale. There’s no HP TouchPad pricing or availability information at Amazon.com yet and I don’t think this indicates that the device is almost ready to go on sale.
Amazon.com publishes product pages early and often. The online retailer lets other businesses sell a lot of devices that it doesn’t sell directly, so this might not even indicate that Amazon is planning on carrying the HP TouchPad at all. Amazon.com could very well have built the landing page out in case its customers decide to sell the device through Amazon.com’s marketplace.

With 64 million tablets sold last year, I think the HP TouchPad will have no problem competing with the iPad 2. Can’t wait until it hits Amazon!
