HTC One (M8) Aims to Steal iPhone 5s Colors

The “All New HTC One” smartphone previously known by the codename HTC M8, has been one of the worst kept secrets as of late, and now we have the complete picture.

Aside from knowing nearly every detail of the upcoming smartphone already due to various leaks and rumors, today we received the final two leaks which revealed the entire color lineup we’re expecting to see at launch. If the Gold color option wasn’t your favorite, revealed yesterday, today we have the final two flavors buyers can expect to see when the HTC M8 is announced in March.

M8-silver

The brand new Silver options is above, which has been the main model leaked time and time again over the past few months. Then for whatever reason HTC will also be delivering a somewhat similar, but darker shade which they’re calling gray. Both which have been provided by @evleaks. If these look similar, it’s because this is the same three-color approach Apple took with the iPhone 5s.

Interestingly enough, we’re seeing and hearing more details about this phone, which isn’t set to be announced til the end of March, while the Samsung Galaxy S5 front is completely silent from actual leaks. A device which will be the main competition, yet will be officially unveiled on Monday the 24th.

M8-greyish

Previous leaks suggested a red or blue option would also be available, which eventually arrived for the original One, and we could still see them come as carrier or store exclusives. Similar to how Best Buy had a special edition Blue variant last year.

For now that’s all the new details we have, which isn’t much, but we’re expecting all three of these main colors to be available at launch, essentially mirroring the iPhone 5s approach. Carriers have been silent but we’ll be learning more about this 5-inch 1080p flagship smartphone later next month.

The bezel in the light metallic grey and that of the gold appear to be bigger than the one in the metallic black (dark grey). This is telling me that while the general body might be correct the actual screen and bezel in these pictures are not accurate of the One 2. I think the release will surprise on what’s really there.
