HTC One S Android 4.2 & Sense 5 Update Rumors Continue to Disappoint
While there is still no word out of HTC in regards to the HTC One S Sense 5 update or the rumored Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update that would be coming along with it, HTC One S Android 4.2 & Sense 5 rumors continue to be disappointing for owners as all signs are indicating that HTC may skip both updates for its aging mid-range smartphone from last year.
When it first announced the HTC One earlier this year, HTC confirmed that some of its devices including the HTC One X, HTC One X+, HTC Buttefly and HTC One S would be getting at least some of the new features of Sense 5. For weeks now, we’ve seen good news emerge from owners of devices not called the HTC One S.
Rumors have been swirling, suggesting that HTC might hold back the HTC One S Sense 5 update and thus, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update from owners of last year’s compliment to the HTC One X. Even the head of HTC Russia claimed that the company was experiencing technical issues with the update, something that seemed to point towards doom.
While owners of the HTC One S have been hoping for a change in the winds, unfortunately, the rumors in regards to the HTC One S Android 4.2 and Sense 5 update continue to disappoint as noted HTC leakster @LlabTooFeR continues to answer questions about the software with bleak responses.
In response to a question about the missing software, the HTC developer issued a response that is sure to frustrate owners of the HTC One S, saying that he’s afraid that there won’t be any update to the device. Keep in mind @LLabTooFeR is not HTC but he is in tune with software and has been correct about numerous leaks in the past.
@_JRBaller I’m afraid, but there won’t be any update…

And while this doesn’t necessarily rule out an HTC One S Android 4.2 and Sense 5 update, it doesn’t bode well. It also doesn’t help that we’ve seen HTC One X release timing emerge while the HTC One S update has been relatively quiet. That could mean that something is indeed amiss.
Whatever the case may be, until HTC clears up the situation, HTC One S owners will have to deal with the unfortunate rumors, rumors that thus far, have been extremely disappointing.
