HTC may make it easy for iPhone users to switch to the HTC One with the next version of HTC Sync Manager that will import data from iPhone backups.
According to CNet the next version of HTC Sync Manager will collect data from iPhone backups and import the data into the HTC One. That includes data such as photos, text messages, calendar events and videos. The data will go directly into apps on the HTC One that can accept the data, so users will have a lot of their information available on their new phone.
The current HTC Sync Manager supports both Mac and PC, so there’s a good chance the next iteration will as well. That’s good news for all Apple fans who may consider a switch to the Android-based HTC One.

App data won’t sync from iPhone backups, even when the same apps exist for Android. Only some basic personal data will transfer between devices. Users will still have to log into all their accounts on the new device, and will have to start their games from scratch again.
There’s no mention of other iOS devices, but theoretically if HTC Sync Manager can pull data from iPhone backups, there’s a chance it will also pull data from iPod touch and iPad backups as well.
The current version of HTC Sync Manager can also import contacts and browser bookmarks from a Mac or PC. It’s not clear if it can pull that data from an iPhone backup.
HTC Sync Manager will also help users sync their iTunes music library (or music library from another app) to the HTC One. After syncing their music HTC One users will be able to enjoy the new music player HTC built for the HTC One as well as the BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers with beats audio.
The HTC One will come to AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint in the U.S. sometime in late March 2013, potentially just a few days after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
