Anticipation is high for the new iPhone 6 and a new series of alleged iPhone 6 photos show off a gold body for a new iPhone that matches the rumors and leaks so far, with a thin design and an opening for the Apple logo. This is the first look at what could be the gold iPhone 6.
This is the second part to leak showing what could be the iPhone 6 design. An earlier part leaked from an Australian iPhone parts supplier with the same overall look, but without the profile photos showing a thin design.
Apple did not talk about a new iPhone at WWDC 2014 where the company showed off iOS 8 with Healthkit and a collection of exciting iOS 8 features, but the announcement did offer enough information to help us figure out what Apple may have planned for the fall.
Although the iPhone 6 screen sizes are all but announced as 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models, we are just now getting enough of a picture of the iPhone 6 design to put together what the new iPhone will look like. Leaked schematics and mock ups are readily available, but it is part leaks like this which will help show off what could be the final design.
A set of four alleged iPhone 6 photos published on Nowhereelse.fr shows what the new iPhone could look like from all angles. In these photos we get a look at the back, sides and inside of what may be the iPhone 6. This is the best look at the possible iPhone 6 design yet.
As the photo above shows, the Apple logo is cut out from the back of the gold iPhone 6 body. Additionally the photo shows bands on the top and bottom of the phone which are similar to the HTC One design. We believe these are part of how Apple will allow antenna to work inside a new iPhone with more metal.
The image above shows the alleged iPhone 6 back next to an iPhone 5s back from ETradeSupply. Though not to scale this photo shows how the inside compares. Most notably, the big openings that exist in the top and bottom areas of the iPhone 5s are not on the iPhone 6 leak.
There are also no openings where the colored bands are on the back of the iPhone 6. This is interesting, but the HTC One does not use a full break in this area either. The only opening aside from camera and flash is the Apple logo. While some speculate that this is for a light up Apple logo, it seems more plausible that Apple will use the patent for hiding an antenna in a logo to facilitate communication from inside an iPhone 6 with an all metal back.
A final photo shows the alleged iPhone 6 part form the side, with a power button on the right side and slimmer and longer volume buttons on the other side. While there is no measurement, this photo shows what looks like a very thin iPhone 6 design. We also see the rounded corners and curved edges that mock ups showed over the past weeks.
It is not possible top know if this is a real iPhone 6 part, or a well crafted fake from a Chinese company working on a knock off to sell as soon as Apple announces the new iPhone this fall, but it lines up with many rumors and a previous part leak.
The iPhone 6 rumors suggest Apple is working on two new iPhone models for this year, complete with bigger screens, a better camera and a new look. Here is a quick look at what to expect.
