I ran into the HyperSpace guys at CES and cut a rough demo of the capabilities on a laptop. Pretty cool use of virtualization. Youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri-SKHd9d9o

At first I was ecstatic, it tried downloading and installing on a x200; at first the verification went through, at this point I hadn’t taken a backup, I canceled the installation process and backed up the harddrive. After the reboot required for backup, the install app won’t verify the computer as compatible.

UPDATE: I have now successfully installed hyperspace on x200 and x200t. it works great takes about 18-20 seconds from me pushing down the power button to the browser is online and showing google. What have me pulling my hair all the time is that the scroll button is not working. The problem was that i had created a partition that was too small for the HS :P.

From my preliminary investigations on the back-end system has shown that hyperspace is based on linux, i can’t determine the exact distro but I’m 100% certain that it is linux.is in line with our commitment to our customers. HyperSpace’s easy-to-use, smart, instant-on and longer battery life features will allow ASUS to deliver richer, more dynamic products and satisfy our customers’ desire to make mobility a far more ele
