iBooks Organization, PDF Mailing Rumored for Future iOS Upgrade

Published

on

The iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad are rumored to get new features related to PDF mailing and iBooks organization according to recent speculations. Since Apple had just released iOS 4.2, it’s unclear whether these features will make it to iOS 4.3, which is rumored for release in December, or if these features will come at a later date and revision of the mobile operating system.

With iBooks, Apple’s apps for e-book reading and e-book management, a feature called “Collections” will be coming, which will allow users to better manage and sort their digital books in the iBooks library, allowing for folders of books. Apple’s iBooks app supports digital books in both PDF format and the EPUB format.

PDF readers will also get the option to send PDFs as an attachment using the standard iOS mail sheet.

Regarding PDFs and iBooks do you foresee the possibility of authors being able to SELL their PDF books in the iBookstore at some point?
