On Tuesday, I pointed to Ed Holloway’s new Ink plug-in for Windows Live Writer. As a result, many of you have been downloading the plug-in and playing with it. What I love about this solution is that it is a transparent way of quickly doing an ink blog post without messing with copy / paste, and it keeps the user in the blogging application. It also shows the promise of Live Writer with its plug-in architecture.
Ed has already added some new features and is in the process of doing a code clean-up before releasing another beta, which I hope is pretty soon. Here is what we have to look forward to:
- More ink colors, including custom colors
- Lasso tool / Move / Cut Copy
- Undo / Redo
- Text inside the ink region
- Ability to re-edit ink before you publish
- Expanding ink region
We’ll of course post an article when the next drop is ready, but be sure to subscribe to Ed’s blog so you can follow the updates yourself as well.
