Intel Intros Solid-State Drives
Solid-State Drives are the future in mobile computing and there’s a scrum going on in the early parts of the game as various vendors (Samsung and SanDisk to name two) aim to replace the hard drive in the hearts and minds of mobile enthusiasts everywhere. Intel has now jumped in with two entries in the 1Gig and 8Gig range. We’re probably a ways off before the prices come down enough and the storage capacity goes up enough for this before we see any real move here. But it is something to look forward to.
