Intel Starts Shipping 1.6GHz Dual-Core Atom 330 Processors
Well, what do you know. Looks like Intel has beaten its own projections. According to Engadget, Intel is now shipping the dual-core 1.6GHz Atom 330 processor, which they had said earllier wouldn’t ship until later in the 4th Quarter. Well, the 4th Quarter begins in about 11 days or so. Given that these chips are designed for the Netbook market, I wonder what kind of turmoil this will cause in the weeks ahead.
Maybe this accounts for some of those price drops we’ve been seeing of late.
