iOS 8.4 Release Date

Nothing is confirmed but at this point we're not expecting an iOS 8.4 release date in May. Instead, it looks like iOS 8 users are going to have to wait several weeks for Apple to get its iOS 8.4 update, and accompanying services, ready for action.

According to 9to5Mac, the iOS 8.4 release date will arrive sometime after the start of WWDC 2015. This falls in line with early iOS 8.4 release date rumors that hinted at a release during the summer. Summer starts on June 21st.

It appears that the company is starting to put the finishing touches on the iOS 8.4 update though it's still not expected to arrive for iOS 8 users until late June. The software is expected to arrive alongside a new version of iTunes dubbed iTunes 12.2.

The rumor comes from Mark Gurman who has an excellent track record when it comes to iOS release windows and release dates. Unless there is a big shakeup behind the scenes, you can count on an iOS 8.4 release date in late June to kick off the summer.
