AT&T Wi-Fi Calling

In August, iOS 9 beta 5 brought AT&T Wi-Fi calling features to iOS 9 beta users. Select iOS 9 beta users report that they've been able to use the feature since early August and we're expecting the feature to become more widespread with the public release.

Wi-Fi calling is currently available on carriers like T-Mobile and Sprint and it's a feature that AT&T subscribers have been requesting for a long time. It looks like the carrier will flip it on with the public release of iOS 9.

It's something that AT&T users should be very excited about.

Small edit “It’s a feature that’s been around in Google Maps for a while but if you’re an avid Apple Maps user, this will be a key iOS 9 ingredient for both of you”
