Apple Notes is dramatically new in iOS 9 with Evernote like abilities and syncing to all of your devices with iCloud.

You can now sketch in Notes using your finger, add a photo to make sure you have the right information and add in maps or links.

A new attachment browser lets you see all the information you added to your notes and adding something new to a note is as easy as using the share option inside an app.

It is interesting to see to do lists like this outside of reminders, but it proved useful in our time with iOS 9. 

The new Apple Notes app also includes the option to make to do lists inside a note and the progress syncs to iCloud.
