iPad Air 3 Release Rumors: What We Know So Far

The iPad Air 3 could get rebranded into a 9.7-inch iPad Pro, according to 9to5Mac. Instead of calling it the iPad Air 3, Apple will simply just make a smaller version of the iPad Pro.

Based on this new report, the new tablet is reported to get the same treatment as the iPad Pro, including the same specs, Apple Pencil support, as well as a dock connector for using Apple's Smart Keyboard, which is rumored to also come in a smaller version for the 9.7-inch tablet.

It's not said whether or not this smaller iPad Pro will essentially replace the iPad Air lineup, but it's possible Apple might keep the iPad Air around, similar to the company's MacBook Pro and MacBook Air products.
