iPad Pro Release Date Rumors Heating Up

on

The iPad Pro has been rumored for quite a while, but things are starting to heat up a bit and the iPad Pro release date could be right around the corner.

It’s been a while since we’ve discussed the iPad Pro, mostly because rumors have been a bit quiet over the summer. The last big rumor that we heard was from May, when it was reported that the iPad Pro would come with a handful of nifty features, including NFC capabilities, a Force Touch display, USB-C connectivity, and a Bluetooth stylus.

We’ve also already seen what are said to be cases for the iPad Pro, leaked out for all to see, and they certainly show off the larger size that the alleged tablet would be, sporting a 12-inch display of some kind.

Past rumors have suggested that the iPad Pro will come with a 12.9-inch display and will be only 7mm thin, which is just a bit thicker than the iPad Air 2.

Furthermore, the rumored tablet is said to come with stereo speakers, thanks to the addition of two more speakers at the top of the device rather than just at the bottom like on current iPads. This would allow for better sound quality.

However, we’re taking these rumors with a grain of salt for sure, but some new rumors have popped up, suggesting when we might see the iPad Pro release to the public, as well as some other small details about the larger tablet.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPad Pro release date will hit at some point before Christmas, saying that mass production will begin in September and October. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when exactly the iPad Pro could launch, but it will most likely be before the holiday season.

Kuo also notes that the iPad Pro will likely come with a Force Touch display, just like on the Apple Watch. The tablet will also be compatible with a new stylus that Apple is supposedly working on, which could be sold separately from the iPad Pro.

Furthermore, AppSee reports that the iPad Pro will come with a resolution of 2,048×2,732, which is pretty insane for a 12-inch display. The analytics firm also says that the tablet will ship with iOS 9.1, suggesting that the tablet’s release will be well after the iPhone 6s launch next month, which means we likely won’t see the iPad Pro until at least October.

The iPad Pro has been gaining steam over the last several months and it looks to be Apple’s most anticipated product yet. Of course, nothing is official yet, as we’re merely going off of rumors, but if you’re interested in buying a tablet like the iPad Pro, there’s no harm in getting informed about what it could be.

The price is one thing that we haven’t heard anything about yet inside of the rumor mill. However, it’s probably easy to take a guess at what the larger tablet might cost. The iPad Pro will undoubtedly be a step up from the iPad Air 2, which is currently priced at $500 for the entry-level model. From there, we can probably guess that the entry-level iPad Pro will cost a bit more than $500. We wouldn’t be surprised to see it land in the $600-$700 range for the entry-level model.

The iPad Pro will likely be marketed toward professionals, such as graphic designers and other professionals who have already found the iPad to be a useful asset, and the iPad Pro will no doubt be a huge upgrade over the current iPads as for professional work is concerned and how it’s used in business.
