iPhone 5 Review

The iPhone 5 will come to South Korea on December 7, and other countries in the following weeks.

As Apple brings the iPhone 5 to more countries stock for the smartphone is slowly replenishing in other countries. Apple is now shipping new iPhones in just a few business days instead of weeks after users order one online. The device is also available in some stores with no waits.

The iPhone 5 is Apple’s first smartphone with 4G LTE capabilities, though not every country offers 4G LTE. In those countries the iPhone 5 will use HSPA+ and DC-HSPA+ for faster data speeds.

The iPhone 5 is available in black and white in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models in every country. Apple doesn’t break down prices per country, only stating that iPhone 5s start at $199 USD on a two-tear contract with each increase in storage adding $100 to the price.

The iPhone 5 is also the first iPhone to use a 4-inch 16:9 display. Previous iPhones used a 3:2 3.5-inch display. The new display adds an extra row of icons and eliminates the black bars above and below movies when viewing widescreen video. The new screen can still run apps made for older iPhones, though it letterboxes them in the center of the screen.

Apple first released the iPhone 5 in September when it came to the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and other countries.
