iPhone 5s iOS 9 Release: 5 Important Details

Published

on

Apple still hasn’t confirmed a specific iPhone 5s iOS 9 release date but thanks to a growing number of leaks, we have a pretty idea about when iPhone 5s users can expect it. With those details in hand, we want to take a look at five important things to know right now about the iPhone 5s iOS 9 update.

In June, Apple hosted its annual WWDC conference for developers. During the opening keynote, the company outlined several new products that are of interest to developers and regular consumers. Among them, an iOS 9 operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

iOS 9 will be coming to replace Apple’s iOS 8 update and it will be doing so with a number of big time features and enhancements. It will be delivered to all devices capable of running iOS 8 which includes the iPhone 5s, Apple’s former flagship that arrived in the fall of 2013.

The iOS 9 update represents the iPhone 5s’ second major iOS update which means that it could see two more iOS updates before its kicked to the curb. With the iPhone 4s iOS 9 update, Apple appears to have shifted to a four year software upgrade plan for the iPhone.

As we’ve pushed away from WWDC, we’ve heard quite a bit about the iOS 9 update, its features, and its release date. Apple isn’t talking about its next upgrade but that should change in the near future. And that’s precisely why we want to fill iPhone 5s users in on the most important things to know right now. Here’s what you need to know about the iPhone 5s iOS 9 update as we move into September.
