iPhone 5S Photos Show Rumored Color Options
Apple is all but confirmed to be selling a gold iPhone 5S when the new iPhone arrives on shelves and now, alleged photos of the gold iPhone 5C back show just what the new color might look like next to a white iPhone 5S and a black iPhone 5S.
Despite the lack of media invites from Apple, the iPhone 5S launch date is widely expected to touch down on September 10th. It’s there that the company will likely show off the iPhone 5 successor, in addition to the cheap plastic version of the iPhone currently dubbed iPhone 5C. Both devices have been rumored for a September 20th release date though like their launch date, the release date still isn’t set in stone.

Rumors suggest that when the iPhone 5S does go on sale, it will be touting a new color, different from the black and white options that we’ve seen Apple use in the past. A new gold iPhone 5S is expected to debut alongside the other iPhone models with whispers suggesting that it will be a champagne colored gold. While the final version of the device has yet to make an appearance, iPhone 5S photo leaks have given consumers an idea about what to expect and today, those interested in the gold iPhone 5S have gotten their clearest look yet.
Thanks to a leak from Ascii, by way of Sonny Dickson, the gold iPhone 5S has seemingly shown itself next to its white and black counterparts, giving consumers an idea about what to expect from Apple in September.
The iPhone 5S is expected to retain a design similar to the iPhone 5.
The photos depict a champagne colored back shell that resembles the iPhone 5’s anodized aluminum design. The back shell is shown next to the black and white models for comparison. What we don’t see if the front of the gold iPhone 5S which is rumored to be white instead of gold colored.
We also get a glimpse at the headphone jack, volume rockers, and Lightning port, all of which appear to be unchanged from the iPhone 5, unsurprising given that the two devices are thought to be sharing a design.

The iPhone 5S is expected to touch down in September with a number of enhancements. Rumors suggest a faster processor, better camera, and unique software that could pertain to the camera or fingerprint reader. Rumors insist that Apple will be releasing the device in September alongside the iPhone 5C rather than October.
