The first iPhone 6 concept has surfaced on video, months before the device’s expected release date, showing off a iPhone design that takes on some iPod nano and Nokia Lumia like qualities in its design.
Prior to the release of a new iPhone, graphic designers take it upon themselves to imagine what the next iPhone might look. Prior to the launch of the iPhone 5, we saw a number of different concepts that emerged depicting iPhones of the future. We also we saw a number of renders emerge before its arrival last September, however, those were based on rumors that leaked prior to the device’s arrival at Apple’s annual launch event and not just someone’s imagination.
Already, just a few months after the launch of the iPhone 5, we’ve seen a number of rumors leak to the surface regarding the iPhone 6. And while we don’t yet have any renders based on those leaks, we do have our first iPhone 6 concept that was concocted by Federico Ciccarese, courtesy of iDownloadBlog.
The device, which is called the iPhone 6, is a futuristic version of the iPhone that features a design that seems to be based on a combination between the Nokia Lumia Windows Phone series and the iPod nano. And, as seen in the video below, it appears that the device is fastened out of a metal material of unknown origins. We also see the familiar 3.5mm head phone jack and Lightning dock port that came with the iPhone 5.
As for the software, it evidently is called iOSX which is a combination of iOS and OS X, Apple’s two operating systems. It’s certainly a lot different than the iOS software found on Apple’s mobile products with its larger on-screen icons.
Of course, this is unlikely to be the next iPhone, potentially the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 and will more than likely never see the light of day, even if it is based on supposed rumors about Apple iPhone prototypes.
The real iPhone 5S/iPhone 6 is rumored to be coming in different sizes and colors and potentially possess an upgraded screen and quite possibly, a similar industrial design to the iPhone 5.
Current rumors peg Apple as releasing the phone in mid-2013 rather than in the fall like the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5.
