Every year (since 2007) Apple releases a new iPhone. And every year, we see tons of rumors try to predict its features and release date ahead of the company’s big show. 2015 is no different. iPhone 6s rumors have been rampant and August was an extremely busy month as it revealed key details about the iPhone 6s specs and iPhone 6s release date.
As we’ve pushed further away from Apple’s big WWDC announcements, we’ve begun to hear more about what it has planned for the fall. So far, Apple’s only confirmed a pair of software updates (iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan) though we suspect that it will introduce some new hardware to go along with the new software.
The company hasn’t confirmed anything but thanks to a number of credible and detailed leaks, it looks like the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will play a big part in Apple’s plans. Both devices have leaked out at a breakneck pace and we’ve started to see several details firm up.
August was a very important month for the rumored iPhones (and its prospective buyers) and we now have solid leads on the iPhone 6s launch date, iPhone 6s release date and key iPhone 6s specs. Its been a lot to take in and today we want to fill you in on the most important things we learned in the past four weeks.
Keep these things in mind as we push into September and as you decide whether you want to wait for the iPhone 6s to arrive. Things are about to heat up to a boil and you’re going to have to make some big decisions in the near future.
We Think We Know the iPhone 6s Launch Date
Thanks a report in early August, we're confident that we have the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus launch date in hand.
Update: September 9th launch date confirmed.
Apple hasn't sent out any invites for an event (those could come soon) but it looks like the company will announce the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s on September 9th. It's not clear where the event will take place but you can expect it to kick off around 10AM somewhere in California.
You can also expect Apple to deliver a live stream on its website so that prospective iPhone buyers can follow along at home. It probably won't be alone though...
