Like the yearly camera upgrade, Apple always offers annual improvements to performance. This year, Apple is rumored to be putting a new chip inside the iPhone 7 and analysts believe it could drastically improve battery life and overall performance. 

Additional reports suggest that Apple could install an Intel LTE modem in the iPhone 7 that would support faster LTE data speeds. The iPhone 7 will also reportedly come with more RAM than the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
