iPhone 7 LTE
One of the strongest iPhone 7 rumors to date comes from VentureBeat. The publication claims that Intel has 1000 employees working on a new LTE chip for the iPhone 7.
The company is reportedly hopeful that it will get its 7360 LTE modem chip inside of the iPhone 7. Apple has historically used Qualcomm chips inside its iPhones.
Intel's new chip supports 450MB/s downlink and it also supports 29 LTE bands. Qualcomm is apparently still in the mix for the iPhone 7 but it looks like Intel is really making a strong push to win Apple's business. Expect to hear more about this behind-the-scenes battle in the months ahead.
