The iPhone 6 release date is three weeks away, and soon Apple will announce the iPhone 6 sending iPhone trade in values plummeting as consumers comprehend the new iPhone and see cheaper iPhone 5s deals at retailers and carriers.
You can still find great iPhone trade in values for your iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s that will help you upgrade to the iPhone 6 without spending a lot of money out-of-pocket.
There are many places you can trade in your old iPhone for cash or store credit including Apple Stores, carriers and recyclers, but you need to do your homework to find the best iPhone trade in values. To help you out, we checked the iPhone trade in prices at five of the most popular places to trade your iPhone in.
You can get your iPhone trade in value in cash or as a gift card to a specific store. This depends where you trade in your old iPhone. Most of the time you can get more store credit than you can get cash, but with that route you may not be able to use it when you buy the iPhone 6.
Another very important thing to remember is when you need to send your old iPhone in to get the top value. Some places like Gazelle and Nextworth let you trade in the iPhone and keep it for 30 to 50 days, which means you can keep using it until the iPhone 6 release date rumored for September 19th. Other places like Amazon and Apple require you to send it now. If you choose Glyde you’re just using a simpler eBay like service that helps you price and ship your old iPhone, so you’ll also need to ship right after you sell it.
The best strategy is to lock in an iPhone trade in value today, but to check all the iPhone trade in values again near the iPhone 6 release date in case it makes more sense to sell the iPhone on Glyde or trade in to Amazon or Apple. There is no commitment on your part for the iPhone trade in price lock, so it’s a great idea to secure that today.
iPhone Trade In Values
Here are the best iPhone trade in values that will help you upgrade to the iPhone 6 cheaper in September. All of these options are simpler than using eBay, but if you prefer to sell it and ship it yourself you can typically earn more money, especially if you are willing to ship overseas.
To compare the iPhone trade in values we look at the value of an AT&T iPhone in the best condition that the company offers. The value varies by carrier and for unlocked iPhones and with any damage to your iPhone so be sure to check the specific iPhone trade in value for your device. Do not lie about the condition or you will end up with a lower trade in price when they check it.
