iPod Touch owners can do some phone calling after all thanks to TruPhone. TruPhone is a popular VoIP solution for other mobile platforms that is now available for the 2nd Generation iPod Touch. It will allow users to communicate TruPhone to TruPhone or via GTalk and other VoIP networks. You won’t be able to dial other non-VoIP phone numbers and are limited to VoIP connections, but hey, that’s better than nothing I’m guessing. Of course you need a WiFi connection to make this work.
The app is now available in the App Store for free. The question is will we see other VoIP clients make an appearance.
