Good news for iPod users who run Vista. Apple has finally released a patch for their software that fixes the disconnect issue that could have damaged your iPod. There was quite a brouhaha over this, and rightly so, when it was discovered that by using the “Safely Remove Devices” command from the Vista taskbar would leave an iPod completley unusable.
According to this quote from Steve Jobs, “We’d like to apologize to all Vista users who are iPod and iTunes customers. We should never have allowed this to happen. Vista is a great operating system and we value those customers just like we do those who uses our own hardware.”
