Killing an iPhone to Send a Message to Apple

Published

on

Some people, including our own Warner Crocker, are pretty upset about Apple pulling Google Voice from the app store. Then there’s this guy…

In what is his iPhone’s last note, the iPhone owner writes that he is tired of Apple’s “dictatorship” and the Google Voice fiasco was the last straw. He then proceeds to shoot and burn his own iPhone 3G. I worry about what steps he’s going to take to get out of his AT&T contract…

I suppose this guy won’t want to read my instructions on how to make Google Voice calls straight from the iPhone contacts. :P

In the end, a sad death for a device crippled by the carrier and Apple, so much potential, but too little to late, well at least he was able to cut and paste before he killed his phone.

I think it’s amazing though how the iphone survived three shots whitout tearing apart.

Now there’s a compelling argument for 2nd amendment rights! I think I’m gonna go buy a gun just so I can do this to mine.
